Poetry

Hello Readers,

On the 21st of march 2022 it was poetry day. Mōhua made a tree for poems. Every student had to write down at least 1 poem. My teacher said we had to write 3 poems. One Acrostic, one Limerick and one Cinquain. Each one of my poems is related to something different. My acrostic poem was related to chocolate, the limerick poem is related to a old man in a tree and last but not least my cinquain poem is related to covid-19. This task seemed easy but was hard for me to make the cinquain poem. I hope you enjoy my poems 🙂

Piano 🎹

Hello Fellow Readers!!!

In wananga we had to choose something to blog about. So I decided to blog about my Piano progress. I started learning Piano in yr 7 and have continued it to yr 8.  I’ve always wanted to learn Piano but have never had the chance to learn. Piano has been a inspiration for a while and I’ve been trying my best to achieve my dream and play Piano.

At first Piano was not easy at all. I didn’t even realise there was notes. I’m also learning Piano with my best friend Venice!! She has been a inspiration to me and has made me continue my journey. The fact that one day I’ll be able to play in front of a bunch of people is incredible. So far my biggest struggles are timing, beats, counts in a note and memorising both hand notes. My favourite songs that I hope to learn one day are: Clair De Lune by Claude Debussy, Fur Elise by Ludwig van Beethoven and Moonlight Sonata by Ludwig van Beethoven.

I hope you enjoyed my blog post and I will one day blog about me playing a famous piece.

St Patrick’s Day

Hello Fellow Readers!!!

For the last few weeks we have been doing special topics for wananga. I have already done a international women’s day blog post so now I made my St Patrick day post. In class I have been working on canva to create my best work. By that I mean make it look good for presenting online. I only managed to finish one task for St Patrick’s day but I made it up to my standards. I hope you enjoy looking at my work. Feel free to comment 🙂

International Women’s Day!!!

Hello Readers!!!

On the 8th of march it was international women’s day. In wananga we got to do some tasks for it. We learn’t about break the bias was and why there is a day for celebrating women. Break the bias is the campaign theme for this year (2022). The meaning of it is to stop stereotypes and world discrimination. The task I did was to make a poster about breaking the bias because I think the bias should be broken. I hope you enjoy the slideshow with my poster. Feel free to comment.

Athletics

Hello Readers!! For the first few weeks of p.e my class have been working on Athletics. We learnt how to throw shot put and discus so far. The thing I found harder to do was discus. I hope you enjoy my blogpost. Feel free to comment.

                             Shot Put

  • Put your arm out in front of you.
  • Hold shot put up to your neck.
  • Hold it in your hands on the ends of your fingers.
  • When you put the shot put you must lock your wrist and put the shot and not throw.

                                       Discus

  •             Wrap your finger around the edge of the discus
  •            When you throw it make sure you make it fly flat like a frisbee.

Here are some pictures of both sports:
